The IEEE-NB Section is proud to congratulate Stephen White, Matthew Toms-Zuberec, and Micah Landry, who achieved an outstanding result as team RedsCode in the recently held IEEExtreme programming competition. After a hard fought battle this team from UNB placed 2nd in Canada (out of 34 entrants) and 760th in the world (out of 3510 teams).

The IEEExtreme competition is an annual world-wide programming marathon that pits student members from around the world against each other to solve challenging programming problems within the same 24-hour window. UNB students completed virtually this year on October 21-22, 2022 working from 9:00 PM Friday to 9:00 PM Saturday local time. Their success speaks for the focus and determination of this talented team in a high-level competition.

Thanks are extended to Brent Petersen who organized the event at UNB in his role as Student Branch Counselor. The IEEE-NB Section would also like to acknowledge those members who volunteered to supervise the competition in a number of 3-hour shifts spanning the duration of the event.
